to South Wales. With some of the best fisheries in the country. The
Welsh Region has many hundreds of kilometres of river and many hundreds
of still waters. The region is split into three areas: Northern,
South West and South East Areas.
Northern
Area: Predominantly Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd
South West Area: Predominantly Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire,
Swansea
South
East Area: Predominantly Monmouthshire, Torfaen, Newport, Blaenau
Gwent, Cardiff, Vale of Glamorgan, Rhondda Cynon Taff
Bream, pike and roach the dominant species in most flowing waters.
