Open season for salmon and sea trout is 3 March to 17 October

Use of baits (Byelaw 9)

3 March to 3 June – unweighted artificial fly under 5gms only

1 June to 1 October – any method except maggots pupae or non aquatic lavae

1 October to 17 October – fly and spin only

Ground bait and feeder bait not allowed at any time

Location - Tidal from Chester Weir seawards downstream. Mainly canalised and therefore mostly owned by Angling Clubs and syndicates, but I am assured there is still some more free fishing in the Chester City limits area

Directions - Off A55, junction with A483 south to roundabout, first exit then first left down minor road to Eccleston
